At Kenya Youth Federation (KYF), we believe that environmental sustainability is the cornerstone of a just and thriving future. As part of our ambitious 2-Year Program, set to launch in June 2025, we are excited to unveil one of our most impactful initiatives yet: Planting 15 Million Trees Across Kenya over the next two years! This program is a call to action for individuals, organizations, and institutions to join us in combating climate change, restoring degraded ecosystems, and securing a sustainable future for generations to come.

Why This Initiative Matters

Deforestation, climate change, and environmental degradation are some of the most pressing challenges of our time. Kenya faces increasing threats, from water shortages to the loss of biodiversity, which directly impact livelihoods, especially in rural and marginalized communities. KYF is committed to reversing this trend by engaging youth, women, and persons with disabilities (PWDs) in large-scale environmental action, ensuring everyone has a role in building a greener tomorrow.

Our Environmental Goals

As part of our broader mission to empower communities, this initiative will:

• Plant 15 million trees in schools, farms, urban areas, and degraded lands across Kenya.
• Promote renewable energy solutions and reduce reliance on unsustainable resources.
• Support youth-led green enterprises, including organic farming and eco-friendly innovations.
• Raise environmental awareness through education and advocacy campaigns, particularly targeting youth and women in rural and urban areas.
